Seductive Seat

The Chair ItselfFinal CART 360 Project by Samantha Kafri & Emmanuel Lalande

As the user stumbles upon this anthropomorphic piece of furniture, they will be able to see at first glance that this chair is a living and breathing entity and that it has lived long life. This can be proven with the visualization of the chairs even breaths and constant heart beat and its physical deterioration composed of; stains, scratches and rips in the material.

When the user first sits on the chair three changes will occur; one the breaths of the chair will slow down tremendously because of the weight of the user. Two the heart beat of the chair will become sluggish due to the struggle of supporting the weight of the user. And finally the chairs lifespan, which is 15 minutes will begin and automatic countdown.

The chair will wait 2 minutes for the interaction between user and object to begin. If there is no interaction within 2 minutes the chair will automatically die. In order to bring the chair back to life the user must perform CPR on the highest part of the seat. If the user decides to place a piece of gum under the chair during their seating, the chair will become excited. The chairs responsive reactions can be seen and heard in its quick breath and sharp heart beat.
